This class is suitable for everyone; from complete beginner to advanced.
This handstand class will begin with a group warm up focusing on body awareness, strength, technique for straight line body shaping and functional mobility before students pick their own journey and work towards individual goals with coaching support.
Traditional handstands - The fundamentals of handstands. Just finding your balance? Want better endurance holds, presses or one-arms? Want to fly Hand to Hand, work on canes or chairs? This pathway has a strong focus on technique work, body alignment, straight, straddle, and tuck shapes.
Contortion - Still balancing just a little different. For the folks who want to learn to twist and bend into alternate shapes as well as increase their range of movement. There are no required flexibility prerequisites other than a willingness to learn. This pathway has a strong focus on flexibility and mobility work in addition to time spent balancing.
